Information about the MSEF 2011
Fair
The Annual Metropolitan Science and Engineering Fair
(MSEF)/ National Junior Academy of Sciences(NJAS) is open to all greater
Omaha-area students in grades 7-12.It will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the University of Nebraska at Omaha Milo Bail Student Center. A banquet and
awards ceremony will follow at 5:30 p.m. The MSEF/NJAS gives students an
opportunity to present and display their research projects and have their
projects judged by area college instructors and practicing professionals in
the projects field. This year, the MSEF is also
affiliated with the Nebraska Junior Science Academy (NJAS). Further
information about this year's fair are found in this year's Booklet* being
distributed to your school.
Over $3,000 in cash, savings bonds,
gift certificates, and trophies was awarded to the over 100 participants in
the 2010 Metropolitan Science and Engineering Fair. The MSEF 2010 fair will
also include such awards. This year, the top 5 MSEF/NJAS winners will
compete in the state National Junior Academy
of Sciences competition at Nebraska Wesleyan in April with an
opportunity to compete in the national NJAS science fair.
MSEF is organized by the Metropolitan
Science and Engineering Fair, Inc., a non-profit organization made up of
educators, business people, engineers, and scientists. Contributors to the
fair include many local businesses, individuals, industries, and
organizations. Contributors are listed in this web site.
